How to Make a Time Lapse Video: Studio Tour
This video gives a backstage pass for my time lapse studio. I discuss several aspects of what I use to make a time lapse video - which camera, which lights, how long does it take. This brief tour can help you get started with shooting your own time lapses. Plus, I show you two failed time lapse videos and discuss what I did wrong. Transcript: "Hi. I'm James Knott. You may have seen one of my time lapse videos on Youtube and I was going to release another time lapse video today, but it didn't quite work out the way I wanted it to so instead of showing you a failed time lapse I thought I would show you a little behind the scenes. After the tour, I am going to show you two of my failed time lapse videos so stay tuned for those. Now these are my three time lapse studios here that I've set up. Over here I have some grapes going that have going for over two months. In the center, there is nothing going. I am trying to figure out a new idea. And then, down at the end, I have a kiwi going which has been going for about three months and still looks exactly the same. A couple things to take note of here. These are just cardboard boxes where I've painted the inside of them white. There are four compact florescent lights in each box and painting the inside of the box white helps make the light a little softer. You can see that I'm actually using two different types of cameras.
